Caribbean Lottery 2nd Chance Promotion




PROMOTION PERIOD

The Barbados/ Caribbean Lottery is conducting a second chance promotion (the "Do You Believe in 2nd Chances?") on all $5 scratch tickets. The promotion period begins September 18 and ends October 19, 2019.

GENERAL RULES

Four (4) Second Chance Drawings shall be conducted.

To enter the Second Chance Drawings, visit the Barbados/ Caribbean Lottery website click the banner “enter” on mybarbadoslotttery.com or caribbeanlottery.com to enter or visit the Facebook page and click the link on the 2nd chance post.

To enter the Second Chance Drawings, players must enter the serial numbers of $20 worth of non-winning tickets.

You may enter as many non-winning instant tickets as you wish. However, every 4 serial numbers will be an additional entry.

You may submit more than one (1) entry per Second Chance Drawing

Odds of winning any prize in any Second Chance Drawing shall vary depending upon the number of entries received for the Second Chance Drawing.

Entries received after the final entry deadline shall not be eligible for any Second Chance Drawing.

Winners shall be notified by the lottery.

Winner names and photos shall be posted on the website and social media platforms.

The Second Chance Drawing dates are September 25, October 2, October 9 and October 19, 2019. Second Chance Drawing dates are subject to change.

Cash shall not be awarded in lieu of prizes.

ENTRY RULES

To be eligible to enter the “Do you believe in 2nd Chances?” promotion you must enter your name, country, phone number and a valid email address.

The website and Facebook are the only method of entry into this Second Chance Drawing. Entries sent via any other method (mail/courier, drop-off etc.), shall not be opened, nor reviewed or returned and shall be disqualified.

You must enter the serial number from your $20 worth of non-winning tickets. Each form is limited to 4 serial numbers. The serial number is the 24digit number comprised of the 12-digit sequence at the bottom back and 12-digit sequence at the front of your non-winning ticket in the scratch-off area. The Barbados/ Caribbean Lottery shall not be responsible for data entry errors by entrants. 

The serial number from any non-winning $5 ticket may be entered only once.

Second Chance Drawing entrants must retain the game tickets they submit as proof of eligibility to claim their prize.

The entry deadline for the Second Chance Drawing is 11:59 PM on October 19, 2019 

All Second Chance Drawing entries are subject to validation by the lottery and may be disqualified if eligibility requirements are not met.

Game tickets determined to be in a stolen/missing inventory status or not part of a valid sold, activated or promotional inventory status shall be disqualified.

The Barbados/ Caribbean Lottery shall award a total of 24 prizes.  There are 3 winners for each week. The prizes are $450 worth of scratch tickets, $300 worth of scratch tickets and $150 worth of scratch tickets.

*Actual drawing dates are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Barbados/ Caribbean Lottery.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winners shall be contacted by the lottery. Players should also check the social media platforms and website to see if they have won.

Each winner's name, photo shall be posted on the Website following the validation of the winners.

Disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate potential winner may result from any of the following: (a) the potential winner's failure to respond to any notification within the specified response period of 1 week; (b) the return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; (c)   the return of any other notice as undeliverable; (d) the potential winner's failure to provide satisfactory proof of age, (e) the potential winner's failure to execute and return the required documents within the specified return period; (f) the potential winner's failure to be available to receive the prize; (g) the potential winner's failure to validly claim the prize by the date specified in the prize award notification.

PRIZE CLAIM INFORMATION

Winners shall be notified by the lottery.  Once a winner is verified by the applicable lottery office a representative from the lottery shall be in contact with the winner for their prize.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The collection, use, storage and destruction of personal information submitted by an entrant for participation in the Second chance promotion shall be managed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Your e-mail address and other information will not be sold or shared with any outside parties. Information shall only be collected from entrants that are age 18 and over. By submitting your Second Chance Drawing entry via the Internet and Facebook, you give the lottery permission to announce and publish your name and photos for marketing/promotional purposes if you are drawn as a winner in this promotion.

MISCELLANEOUS

The lottery reserves the right to modify, cancel, postpone, delay, suspend and/or terminate this Second chance promotion, in whole or in part, in the event that the promotion is not capable of running as planned or as intended by these Official Rules, by reason of any technical or other disabling causes or other causes that impair, corrupt or interrupt the administration, fairness, security or integrity or proper play of the Second Chance promotion, including without limitation hurricane, fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, war, terrorist threat or activity or insurrection. In such event, the lottery may, in its sole discretion: (a) postpone and/or reschedule and/or modify the Second chance, or (b) cancel the second chance in its entirety. In the event of cancellation, the lottery shall award the prizes through a process deemed fair and equitable by the lottery and its administrators shall have no further liability to any participant in connection with the promotion. In no event shall the lottery be obligated to award more prizes than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules.
