Powerball® Jackpot continues to grow to new record High
(USVI) – There’s a new record for the highest Powerball® jackpot. The jackpot for tonight’s, January 9th Powerball draw has increased again to $900 Million. This is not only the largest ever jackpot for Powerball but also the largest jackpot of any lottery game in U.S. history.
Tonight’s drawing will be the 19th drawing since the most recent Powerball jackpot win on November 4th 2015. The record Powerball jackpot of $900 Million is an estimated annuitized amount, with an estimated cash value of $558 Million. If there is no jackpot winner for tonight’s draw, the estimated jackpot for next Wednesday’s drawing will be a massive $1.3 Billion!
“As the jackpot continues to increase, we’ve seen considerable interest here in the Virgin Islands. This record breaking jackpot has generated excitement among our players who no doubt are eager to join the Powerball list of winners similar to our $2 Million Powerball Match 5 winner from 2015!” stated Brian Gardine, Site Manager, Caribbean Lottery Services.
